“Friendly Pines gave me the best summer I could have asked for. It is a place unlike any other where I have never felt so myself and loved by the people around it. It is a place of boundless energy, happiness and inspiration and I feel lucky to have experienced it firsthand.”

“Little did I know when I set forth this summer how wonderful an impact on my life Friendly Pines Camp would make! Over the course of the summer I was constantly asking myself “Am I really getting paid to do this?” Moments when you see the smile on a camper’s face when they’ve won the extra dessert, when you sense their elation and excitement after firing a rifle for the first time, when you hear their cries of laughter at Campfirepalooza; those are the moments in which you forget yourself. You forget you’re working; that this is a job, and for those brief but frequent moments, you get reminded by your campers what an incredible experience it is to be a kid at summer camp, and the fact that you’re helping those experiences to be possible, for those memories to form, is a truly humbling existence.”

It was amazing to be on the other side of things by going from camper to counselor and being the ones that help the campers have experiences they will keep forever!

My favorite part about working at Friendly Pines Camp is working alongside some of the best people in the world. Summer camp offers kids a chance to have fun, be themselves and try new things. As a camp counselor you get to facilitate all of that and more. Best summer ever!
