Ohh!

This Is What Summer
Is Supposed to Feel Like.

Lead, grow, and be part of something bigger at Friendly Pines Camp.

Not to spill

the beans…

but this ends up being one of the most important summers of your life.

You spend your days outside leading games, teaching activities, laughing with campers, singing around campfires, and building friendships that happen fast when everyone is living life together. It’s joyful, demanding, messy, meaningful, and different from almost any other job out there.

It’s the kind of work that asks a lot from you, but gives a whole lot back too.

Counselors live in cabins alongside campers and become fully immersed in the Friendly Pines community. You will wake to the morning bell, gather for family-style meals in the dining hall, and spend your days leading and teaching campers through your activity department. Each evening, you will help create the camp magic as our community comes together under the stars.

Counselors are typically hired for a nine-week summer commitment, including one week of staff training and eight weeks with campers. Some team members may be invited to arrive early for specialized activity training, while others may choose to stay an additional week to help lead our summer Family Camps. Why “One Summer” Turns Into More

"I just thought I was going to have a summer of fun and meet new people, but it was so much more than that, I have met people that I will be friends with for the rest of my life, got to see children learn things about themselves and being more confident, and creating some of the most amazing memories that I will cherish forever, and by the time I left, Friendly Pines had cemented itself to being my second home."

Dylan

"Working with Friendly Pines campers specifically is simply magical, they'll have you howling in laughter but also reminding you of that childhood experience a lot of us have left behind. If you're on the fence, do it! I promise you'll look back and say 'Yeah, I did that, and I'll be back for more'".

David

"I have experienced that Friendly Pines is a genuine space for everyone to grow, Counselors and Campers alike. Everyone takes away a form of independence, authenticity, love for nature, and true family. Each summer will always be my favorite hello, and hardest goodbye."
