You Can Feel Good About This

We know this is a big step. That’s why every part of the experience, from who’s leading them to how we keep you connected, is designed to support your child and give you peace of mind.

Health & Safety First

Toggle
Your camper’s well-being comes first. Friendly Pines is ACA-accredited, which means our programs, facilities, and operating practices meet rigorous standards for camp health and safety. With on-site medical staff available 24/7 and strong supervision and emergency-response plans in place, your camper is supported throughout their time at camp.

Counselors Your Camper Can Count On

Toggle
Your camper will be cared for by carefully vetted and trained staff who are prepared to support them throughout their camp experience. We follow industry best practices for staff hiring, supervision, camper-to-counselor ratios, staff training, and camper care, giving counselors the structure they need to do their jobs well. We look for the kind of young people you want caring for your camper and serving as their role models.

Room to Grow, Support When It Matters

Toggle
Your camper will have room to try, wonder, make decisions, and figure things out for themselves, but they won’t have to navigate camp alone. Our staff keep a thoughtful eye on each camper and step in with encouragement, guidance, or a caring conversation when they need it. It’s a purposeful balance of independence and support that helps kids grow.

Connected While They’re at Camp

Toggle
Your camper gets the chance to fully unplug and settle into camp life, which means they don’t communicate with you by phone during their session. But you’re never out of touch with us. Our team is always reachable and happy to check in, answer questions, or give you an update on how your camper is doing. We also share daily photo drops so families can get a glimpse of the fun and see what’s happening around camp. Campers can receive mail daily, too, and old-school snail mail is still a very big deal around here. Nothing beats mail call at camp!

Cabins & Grounds

Built for every stage of growing up

Every camper starts somewhere.

For some, it’s a first time away from home. For others, it’s another summer of familiar faces and new challenges.

At every stage, our villages are designed to meet them where they are, while opening the door to what’s next. And as they return, those experiences build on each other, growing confidence, deepening friendships, and creating a lasting sense of belonging.

Summer by summer, camp weaves itself into their story in a way that lasts well beyond the session weeks.

What defines the Friendly Pines experience

Character Over Competition

Toggle
Camp isn’t about being the best. It’s about building the courage to try, the resilience to try again, and the character to encourage others along the way. You’ll see high fives, second attempts, and campers surprising themselves because developing great qualities in young people is at the heart of everything we do.

Tech-Free by Design

Toggle
A little time unplugged goes a long way out here. Without screens competing for their attention, campers can fully experience the activities, traditions, friendships, and everyday moments that make camp meaningful.

Confidence & Independence

Toggle
Little moments add up quickly at camp. As campers make choices, work through challenges, take responsibility, and contribute to their camp community, they discover what they’re capable of, learn to trust themselves a little more, and come home standing a little taller.

Lifelong Friendships

Toggle
Uninterrupted time together in a close-knit camp community gives friendships the space to unfold and strengthen naturally. Through shared cabins, new experiences, and unplugged days, unfamiliar faces become the kind of friends campers write to, talk about, and look forward to seeing summer after summer.
Learn About Our Philosophy

what gets said on pickup day

We have been a fan of Friendly Pines Camp for over a decade. All three of our children have consistently had a high quality summer camp experience at Friendly Pines. Memories from camp bring smiles to my children’s faces regularly and we often hear about the delicious meals when eating dinner. The atmosphere at FPC is warm and welcoming and the activities encourage new skills and improve upon learned skills. The camp leadership team is excellent and they strive to create an outstanding safe experience for everyone at camp. We highly recommend FPC!

- Monica, Long Time Friendly Pines Parent

As a first year camp mom, I was terribly nervous after dropping my twin sons off. Would they skip brushing their teeth for a week? Would they make friends? My worries were quickly assuaged, however. Every day I was able to see photos of the fun the campers were having. There they were, shooting rifles, wiping chocolate off their mouths from a s'more, and playing with other campers. At pick up, the first thing out of my sons' mouths were "Can we stay for two weeks next year?" Friendly Pines gave my children the classic summer camp experience I was hoping for.

- Rachel, First Time Friendly Pines Parent

Friendly Pines has exceeded every expectation we had for what a summer camp should be. Our kids came home more confident, independent, and full of unforgettable memories. The caring staff, welcoming community, and incredible activities make it an amazing place for kids to grow, have fun, and build friendships. We couldn't recommend it more highly.
