Campers…Just a Few Reminders
(In addition to those mentioned on the parent reminders page)
SUMMER 2025
- You will receive a Friendly Pines T-Shirt when you arrive
- Bring a Cowboy Hat. An inexpensive straw cowboy hat is perfect. You’ll need it for one of our evening activity ceremonies. If you don't have one, we have plenty of loaners.
- Bring a water bottle or water backpack.
- Mark your possessions with your name.
- Please do not bring electronics or food.
- Tell your family to include your cabin name on the letters they address to you. We'll tell you and them the name of the cabin once you arrive.
- Parents should send your emails to camper@friendlypines.com with your name & cabin in the subject area.
- Remember: You must wear shoes that cover your feet. No sandals or flip-flops at camp.
- Along with Friendly Pines’ Code of Citizenship and our H.E.R.O. Program, please remember that being a good camper includes a cooperative attitude; regard for the rights of others as well as self, concern for our environment, and good personal hygiene (Hands are well-washed before EVERY MEAL; socks and underwear get changed every day!; hair is kept neatly groomed; only small earrings (for safety)). (This includes the staff too.)
- We hope you’ll be coming to Friendly Pines with the desire to HAVE FUN; make a lot of NEW FRIENDS; learn to do NEW ACTIVITIES; enjoy the wonderful WEATHER; RELAX in a place of great SCENIC BEAUTY; make lots of CHOICES; learn to become more INDEPENDENT; CONTRIBUTE to your own WELLNESS through positive attitude, awareness of safety, plenty of activity and rest, eating a variety of foods, and drinking adequate water. You’ll quickly realize the fun of BEING PART OF A GROUP; find out how enjoyable it is to “CREATE OUR OWN ENTERTAINMENT,” and discover all the miraculous, new and wonderful experiences that have made Friendly Pines such a special place for so many kids for so many years!
